SECURITY AND SAFETY
Stewards – London Notting Hill Carnival committee Ltd will be providing 300 stewards that will act as an interface between participants / visitors and the police. They are trained to assess the situation and to alert the police in any situation where they see public safety being compromised.
Security – 4700 police officers will be on duty in and around the parade on Sunday 24th August 2008 and 5700 police officers will be on duty on Monday 24th August 2008. Police will be located on every street and will be easily accessible in case of an emergency.
